Description (English)

State Credit Note with a face value of 1 ruble, 1898 model, of the Russian Empire.

Denomination: 1 ruble.

Year on the banknote: 1898 (actual issue of this specimen — 1912–1917).

Signatures:

    • Governor: I. Shipov.
    • Cashier: Starikov.

Series: НБ-260.

Features: Governor Shipov's signature indicates that the note was printed significantly later than the date shown on it (under Shipov, banknotes of this type were issued in 1912–1917).

The condition of the banknote can be classified as Very Fine (VF) or Fine (F):

Signs of wear: Strong vertical center fold and multiple small creases.

Edges and corners: Noticeable wear along the edges; corners are rounded and have minor damage.

Cleanliness: Presence of stains and general darkening of the paper ("greasiness" from circulation).

Integrity: There are no visible tears or missing fragments, which is a plus.
