Description (English)

Collectible Vintage Baroque Style Clip-On Earrings. Jablonec, Czechoslovakia, 1970–1980s. Production: CSSR, Jablonec nad Nisou (Jablonex system enterprise), 1970s–1980s. Specifications: Weight — 22.5 g, length — approx. 6.3 cm. Clips: Soft and comfortable clip-on mechanisms (unmarked, which is absolutely typical for export batches of Jablonex from those years).

Design and Technical Features:

·        Filigree Base: Intricate openwork and cast metal with a deep galvanic plating mimicking "old/antique gold" with patination. Czechoslovak casting from this period features exceptional details—scrolls, volutes, and chasing are flawlessly executed, while the reverse side has a distinctive noble matte texture.

·        Casting Quality: The filigree is flawlessly crafted—the pierced elements are crisp, free from metal sagging or burrs. The reverse side is smooth and neatly finished, minimizing the risk of snagging on clothes or hair.

·        Insets: Large central oval cabochons made of high-quality thermoset/lucite (acrylic) with a pearlescent (opalescent) effect. The use of such insets alongside glass was a signature mark of Jablonex evening collections in the 1980s.

·        Decor: The earrings are adorned with Czech jewelry crystals (rhinestones) of diamond-cut brilliance and tear-shaped simulated Majorca pearl drops.

·        Drops: The pearl drops retain their original luster (nacreous layer). The coating is dense, without flaking or scratches, which are often found on vintage faux pearls at the points of contact with metal. Connecting jump rings are not deformed.

Condition: Excellent Vintage / Collectible Condition. The piece is completely ready to be worn or added to a collection. Free from restorations, component replacements, or hidden defects.
