USSR 1988 5 Rubles — Millennium of Russia Monument (Novgorod)

Soviet commemorative 5-ruble coin issued in 1988, dedicated to the "Millennium of Russia" monument in Novgorod.

Country of Origin: USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).

The reverse depicts the "Millennium of Russia" monument, erected in Novgorod in 1862.

Material: Copper-nickel alloy.

Diameter 35 mm, weight 19.8 g.

Condition: Excellent (XF/aUNC). The surface shows natural minor scratches and signs of contact with other coins ("bag marks"), but the relief details of the monument and inscriptions are sharp, with no signs of heavy wear.
