Description (English)

An original circulation coin of the Second Polish Republic with a face value of 5 Groszy, minted in 1923. This is the very first and most mass-produced annual issue of this type.

·        Year of minting: 1923

·        Denomination: 5 Groszy (5 groszy)

·        State: Republic of Poland (II Rzeczpospolita)

·        Material: Brass (Mosiądz)

·        Diameter: 20 mm

·        Standard weight: 3.0 g

·        Mint: Warsaw (without a mint mark, regular strike)

·        Designer: Wojciech Jastrzębowski (WJ initials under the eagle's talon)

Condition: Very Fine / from circulation (VF). The coin has a nice, natural patina, the relief of the details is well preserved, and the letters and numbers are clearly legible. It has not been subjected to mechanical or chemical cleaning — everything is in its original collectible condition. An excellent piece to fill a date run or for a collection of interwar European coins.
